Orozco: “Reorganizar Nicaragua puede tomar al menos 10 años”

En una entrevista con La Prensa el 7 de febrero, 2024, Manuel Orozco, director del programa Migración, Remesas y Desarrollo del Diálogo Interamericano, conversó sobre la concentración de poder del régimen Ortega-Murillo en Nicaragua, la economía nicaragüense y sus perspectivas sobre la reorganización del país.

“La reorganización de Nicaragua puede tomar al menos diez años. Cuando se calcula lo que se requiere para reconstruir la base material perdida, la confianza mutua (proceso que lleva deliberaciones y pruebas de al menos un gobierno), y las instituciones que gobiernen un Estado de derecho justo, requeriría contar con dos gobiernos con full apoyo externo y riesgo del sector privado para invertir.”

“La inconformidad dentro del círculo de poder de la sucesión a un clan familiar, señaliza a los que son leales al régimen que ellos no tienen opción de acceder al poder, aun dentro de la estructura actual porque es terreno reservado a la familia. Esta situación aumenta en el tiempo el deseo de remover a la familia del poder, por lo que estarán comunicando sus intenciones en ‘back channels’.”
