President Laura Chinchilla was awarded the “Women of the Decade in Public Life and Leadership” award at the Women Economic Forum in Amsterdam.

The Women’s Economic Forum is a multinational platform and brings together women and leaders from all areas of the world, created with the aim of expanding business opportunities and improving personal influence, while being inspired by the most recognized leaders of the world.

She commented, “after my experience in public life, I am very honored to be able to give my best contribution and share based on my experience on the successes, failures and dynamics of women in public life.”

“We women are better off together. We are stronger together.”

President Laura Chinchilla is the current co-chair of the Inter-American Dialogue’s Board of Directors.
