    “La victoria de Lula refuerza la tendencia de más gobiernos de izquierda en América Latina. Solo hay tres gobiernos en América del Sur que no son de izquierda en este momento: Ecuador, Uruguay y Paraguay”

    “Pero estos gobiernos de izquierda son muy diferentes entre sí en cuanto a sus puntos de vista sobre la democracia”.

    “López Obrador está utilizando cada vez más a los militares como pilares de su gobierno. Mi sensación es que Lula no hará eso en Brasil”,

    “El único presidente reelegido en la región fue Daniel Ortega, de Nicaragua, pero eso realmente no se debe tomar en cuenta porque es un autócrata. Esta tendencia antioficialista demuestra que hay un sentimiento de infelicidad e insatisfacción en América Latina”.
