The U.S. military, in a strike coordinated with Venezuela’s government, killed the leader of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, U.S. President Donald Trump announced June 12. Venezuela confirmed that it had participated in the operation to kill Héctor Rusthenford Guerrero Flores, also known as Niño Guerrero, who was killed in Bolívar state. What does Guerrero’s killing mean for the gang, and how much does his death weaken it?
