China, which has been grappling with the setbacks of the Covid-19 pandemic, a crisis in the property market and high debt levels, has experienced a significant manufacturing surplus. This excess supply coupled with weak domestic demand has led Chinese exporters to lower their prices, in some cases by around 20 percent in the past year, hurting Brazilian manufacturers.
