Barclay, director of AmCham Chile: “The line of credit is part of a broader strategy by the Chilean government to promote small and medium-sized business focused on innovative and transformative enterprises involving financial inclusion and mitigation of climate change, as well as internationalization. These businesses are expected to produce value-added change and employment typical of small and medium-sized business in general. While funds for established companies are generally available in Chile, financing for start-ups, particularly those that do not have fixed assets to offer as collateral, is not readily available.
