Sustainable Development Goals: “Although corporate social responsibility was perceived as the philanthropic arm of a company, focused on social benefits with ambiguous financial value, it worked to raise awareness about the importance of incorporating social aspects into business strategy. It also contributed to start the conversation on business and human rights, which now is a must among decision makers. Over the last decade, philanthropic practices of companies operating in Latin America have evolved into sustainability, which has positioned human rights in the supply chain as a strategic factor to meet regulatory requirements and societal and investor expectations.
