Some ransomware gangs also attempt to recruit insiders to obtain support to compromise the target infrastructure. The failure on blocking a ransomware attack depends on multiple factors, such as poor cybersecurity hygiene, a lack of active monitoring of the IT infrastructure and a lack of network segmentation to prevent the threat from spreading.
