The country has great potential to diversify its energy matrix through renewable sources—such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric—and this call sends a positive signal to the market: Honduras is open to strategic alliances and private capital to close its capacity gap. Although challenges remain, the framework approved by the Electric Energy Regulatory Commission (CREE) provides a solid technical foundation that offers confidence and predictability.
