Solar Energy in Brazil Continued Growth in January
Brazil added 1.3 gigawatts of new solar energy capacity to its power grid in January, a 9 percent increase from the record-setting pace of solar installations set in 2024, according to the national statistics agency.
Brazil Officially Joins OPEC+
Brazilian regulators this week approved the country’s entry into the OPEC+ group of major oil producing countries. Brazil will not be subject to production quotas under the arrangement, Energy Minister Alexandre Silveira said.
