On January 31, 2008, the Inter-American Dialogue launched the report, Guatemala: Diez años después de los acuerdos de paz, featuring the results of its first dialogue on democracy co-sponsored by the OAS and the Asociación de Investigación y Estudios Sociales (ASIES), which also hosted the release event. Speakers included UN Development Programme in Guatemala consultant Ricardo Stein, ASIES executive secretary Raquel Zelaya, Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy consultant Gustavo Porras, and Dialogue vice president for democratic governance Marifeli Pérez-Stable.
